#MyMiles With is a series aimed at giving YOU an insight into the lives of the next generation of British sporting heroes. This time it’s the turn of Great Britain 110m hurdler Khai Riley-La Borde.

Pretending to be a boy named Colin just to step foot in a ring, boxing has never been merely a hobby for Caroline Dubois. That moment as a nine-year-old still occupies the thoughts of a Chelsea fighter initially denied the sport she loved due to her gender. Eight years later and the pretending is all done for a three-time -60kg European junior, world youth and Youth Olympic champion.

With the help of SportsAid, I did my thing. I didn’t come from a wealthy family, and there were times when I thought ‘I need a job’ but I stuck to my swimming. Thankfully it did pay off. It's about gambling and making sacrifices. I put a high risk in myself and invested the time in what was going to make the difference to my swimming.
