Sport England is one of SportsAid's longest-standing partners. It helps people and communities across the country to create a sporting habit for life. SportsAid and Sport England work together on several ground-breaking initiatives including the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (see below) and Backing The Best. The charity is also based in Sport England's office in London.
UK Sport is responsible for investing around £100 million of public funds each year – from both the National Lottery and the Exchequer – in high performance sport.
The Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme, now know as Sport England TASS, gives young people across England the opportunity to get the very best out of their academic and athletic ability. SportsAid has managed TASS since it was launched in 2004.
