I was playing football at a high level but found my disability was becoming more of an issue and was in too much pain after every game. My Dad suggested Table Tennis at the age of 12 and I started playing at a local club in Havering being coached by Greenhouse coach Jason Clark. He suggested the Para Table Tennis and I got classified in class 10. I then got classified at international level and now represent GB, which has all happened in 5 years.
I board at Grantham College where I study engineering during the day. I train 3 hours every day Monday to Friday as well as One to One training with a personal coach. Most weekends I have tournaments that involves my Dad driving me around the country or travelling abroad with GB. I also spend several hours each week in the Gym and cook my own healthy meals.
The love of the sport motivates me. I love training hard The thought of representing GB is the only motivation I need.
Will Bailey. For what he has achieved in the sport and how approachable and encouraging he is.
I don't really have spare time as when I am not training or playing tournaments I have to study and make sure I don't fall behind with my education. I do enjoy spending time with my family when I can as they are the most important people in my life.
