National governing body (NGB)

Volleyball England nominates beach and indoor volleyball players from the junior national teams to SportsAid who are not yet on TASS, as well as some players attending junior satellite academies. Volleyball England is responsible for developing talent across the age groups and the criteria for players to be nominated for a SportsAid grant are typically:
Selections are made by national coaches, the president of Volleyball England's performance commission, and are coordinated by the talent manager. SportsAid is critical to the Volleyball England talent pathway and helps talented athletes to attain the highest performance level. The England juniors form the core of SportsAid nominees for volleyball.
The nomination process
SportsAid only supports unfunded athletes who are nominated by their sport's national governing body. This ensures the right athletes get the right help at the right time - enhancing the sports' talent development programmes rather than duplicating them. Nominations take place every autumn. You should contact your sport about whether you meet the criteria for the next round of SportsAid awards. Meeting the nomination criteria does not necessarily guarantee a SportsAid award because the charity can only distribute what it has fundraised.
