SportsAid Week is back for a third consecutive year in 2018! Lots of fun and fundraising to support the next generation of British sports stars from 24-30 September.


SportsBall 2018

The SportsBall 2018 is already in the diary for Thursday 29 November at the Hurlingham Club in west London. Ticket details will be available soon so make sure to keep your eyes peeled!




SportsAid supports athletes from over 60 sports - most of which are Olympic and Paralympic disciplines.



SportsAid helps more than a thousand young talented athletes across the country every year.

Chris Baillieu MBE steps down as Chair of SportsAid

Chris Baillieu MBE stepped down as the Chair of SportsAid at the charity’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) earlier today (19 January). His decision brings to an end a six-year tenure in which Chris has overseen many key landmarks in SportsAid’s history. Chris is being succeeded by Mark Lillie, a Technology Consulting Partner at Deloitte UK, who has been involved with SportsAid for more than a decade.

Talented athletes benefit from network of mental health experts

The Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS) has announced a new partnership with mental health experts Cognacity. More than 500 student-athletes are now benefitting from round the clock access to a national network of psychiatrists, psychologists and counsellors as TASS enhances the existing service it provides to talented sportspeople as they balance the demands of a dual career.

Tom Pidcock crowned Great Britain Cycling Team Rider of the Year for 2017

Double junior world champion Tom Pidcock’s incredible year in 2017 has led to him being awarded Great Britain Cycling Team Rider of the Year. The 18-year-old won multiple honours throughout the last 12 months but his stand-out achievements were becoming junior cyclo-cross world champion and the junior road time trial world title holder. Tom, who received SportsAid support in 2015, took 28.72% of the 5,800 votes.

With the help of SportsAid, I did my thing. I didn’t come from a wealthy family, and there were times when I thought ‘I need a job’ but I stuck to my swimming. Thankfully it did pay off. It's about gambling and making sacrifices. I put a high risk in myself and invested the time in what was going to make the difference to my swimming.
