Why run for SportsAid?
Your support will play a big part in the success of British sport – helping our next generation of sports stars to compete at their best.
Many of Britain’s most successful athletes are SportsAid alumni: Sir Steve Redgrave, Paula Radcliffe MBE, Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson, Dame Kelly Holmes, Sir Chris Hoy, Rebecca Adlington OBE, Sir Bradley Wiggins, Christine Ohuruogu MBE, and many more. By raising money for SportsAid, you can help our heroes of the future reach the same heights.
We know that training and fundraising for the London Marathon is no mean feat, so we are here to support our runners every step of the way.

"From the very start of my marathon journey through to the after party the support and communication has been amazing. Grace has worked so hard to ensure that we have the information we need. The speeches and the athletes who we met were all truly inspirational." Amber Snell (London Marathon runner 2016)
“I have been most impressed by SportsAid, both the staff and the charity, and will be advocating it in the future. I attended the post-race reception and it was great to have somewhere to go after the race! It was nice to see other people and to wash, eat and have a massage, so thank you for organising that!” Paul Walker (London Marathon runner 2015)
"I think the charity is such a worthwhile cause, I am so pleased that I can give something back." Sarah Collins (London Marathon runner 2015)

I just wanted to say thank you very much to you and the SportsAid team for your amazing support over my whole marathon experience. It was great to come along to the SportsAid celebratory party afterwards to get a massage, meet you and chat with your athlete Emma and your Chairman Chris. I have really enjoyed my London marathon experience and fundraising for SportsAid!
