Seventeen SportsAid athletes selected for Paralympic volleyball

Another 17 athletes who have received support from SportsAid during their careers learned on June 20 that they would compete at the London 2012 Paralympic Games after the British Paralympic Association announced its selection for sitting volleyball.
The announcement takes the total number of SportsAid athletes in the ParalympicsGB team to 151, which is 73% of the 208 team members confirmed so far.
The 17 athletes who have either received a SportsAid or TASS Award (SportsAid manages TASS on behalf of UK Sport) are as follows:
- Amy Brierly – TASS Award 2011 from Deloitte
- Andrea Green – SportsAid Award 2012 from Asda, TASS Award from Deloitte
- Anton Raimondo – SportsAid Award 2012 from Lloyds TSB (Local Heroes), TASS Award from Deloitte
- Charlie Walker – SportsAid Award 2012, TASS Award from Deloitte in 2011
- Claire Harvey – SportsAid Award 2011 from GLL
- Emma Wiggs – SportsAid Award 2012 from St Johns School, TASS Award from Deloitte in 2011
- James Roberts – TASS Award 2011 from Deloitte
- Jessica Frezza – TASS Award 2011 from Deloitte
