SportsAid helps the next generation of British sports stars by giving them financial support and recognition during the critical early stages of their careers.
SportsAid has guaranteed places for the Virgin Money London Marathon, Great North Run, Vitality London 10,000, Prudential RideLondon and Tough Mudder. All the money raised by members of Team SportsAid goes towards supporting the country’s brightest sporting prospects. Members of Team SportsAid receive ongoing support and advice from staff for fundraising with a wide range of other benefits.
SportsAid athletes Tom Darling and Crispin Beaumont secured a dramatic gold medal in the 29er Boys event at the 2016 AON Youth Sailing World Championships as alumna Emma Wilson also wrapped up the RS:X Girls crown. The Youth Sailing World Championships contains the world’s leading sailors aged 19 and under, and is a proven talent indicator. Previous Youth World champions include Ben Ainslie and Giles Scott.
SportsAid is delighted to confirm its Support The Next film has been shortlisted for the Charity Film Awards. The Awards, created to celebrate the success of film in fundraising, increase exposure and encourage donations for good causes, bases its categories on a charity's turnover for the latest financial year. The next stage sees the shortlisted films reviewed by a panel of expert judges who will select the finalists for the awards ceremony.
