Get Involved

Young athletes need your help to keep training, competing and inspiring us through their achievements. You can make a difference!

Each year, a large number of talented young athletes are nominated to SportsAid, but unfortunately, not all of them are able to receive financial awards. It is our ambition is to ensure every nominated athlete is given the support they deserve. Fundraising is absolutely pivotal to us achieving this and there are lots of ways you can make a direct impact!

Fundraise For Us

SportsAid athletes will spend over £7,000 each year in meeting the costs of their sport with their family. The vast majority receive no other funding, and without the charity's backing, many of these young prospects would face a tough decision on whether to continue training and competing. A one-off or regular donation can really help them on their journey!

Challenge events such as the London Marathon, Great North Run, RideLondon and Tough Mudder are always hugely popular and often oversubscribed. Success in the ballot can be hard to come by! SportsAid is granted a set number of places each year so why not apply to participate on behalf of the charity? You will receive a fantastic package of support.

SportsAid Week is an annual fundraising drive designed to support the next generation of athletes striving to reach the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Since 2016, the initiative has generated over £175,000 with Olympians, Paralympians, up-and-coming athletes, schools, universities and commercial organisations rallying together for a week of fun and fundraising.

The #MyMiles Challenge pays tribute to the commitment and dedication of talented young athletes! On average, SportsAid athletes cover around 40 miles every week as they train and compete. The Challenge encourages supporters to keep the athletes company by undertaking physical activity and posting their progress on social media during SportsAid Week.

The SportsAid Fellowship is an exclusive club of influential individuals who support the future of British sport through the charity. The group is invitation-only and maintains a limited membership. This is to ensure the Fellows benefit significantly from the club while also contributing real value to SportsAid. You can register your interest in joining the Fellowship.

Did your loved one have a passion for sport and supporting the next generation? Making a donation to SportsAid in their memory will mean they live on through the young beneficiaries of the charity. SportsAid can create a special fund, named in memory of a family member or friend, from which the charity's awards can be distributed to help sports stars of the future.
